The need to conserve our limited resources is becoming more prominent...
Just look at the 'Summer' we are having and the torrential rainfall that has beseiged several communities
in the UK.
As a small player, we recycle plastic, glass, paper and any other materials that can be recycled.
There are bins provided for ease of recycling.
We are looking into wind power as a greener supplement to the standard electricity supply.
Most of our guest accommodation is double glazed and very well insulated; decreasing the
amount of energy required to heat or cool the house.
When rooms are not in use, they are 'shut down', to conserve energy.
Rainwater is collected in a water butt and used to water the potted plants around the property.
Where possible, we purchase from local suppliers, reducing the need to frequently drive the car to
the hypermarket.
We are also purchasing Organic produce, when available. This is also a positive step toward
reducing the amount of 'non-organic' produce purchased and therefore the approval of the use of chemicals on our food.
I know this is not significant but we are considering the consequence of our actions and the notion
to do nothing, is not an option.
